The Truth about "Slave Princess"
The supposed "#FreeBritney" documentary that is a gateway to QAnon.
For the #FreeBritney movement “Slave Princess” might appear to be another documentary that details the hardships of Britney Spears as she fights for control of her life against the oppressive and possibly illegal conservatorship, she’s been trapped in for over a decade. In reality it is a film that is designed to lure people in the #FreeBritney movement into the internet cult known as QAnon, a cult based on the absurd conspiracy theory that the world is under the control of Satanic child trafficking elites who are fighting with Donald Trump for the fate of humanity.
“We the Media” is one of the biggest QAnon channels on Telegram, featuring many of the biggest promoters of QAnon. Pepe Lives Matter is one of those promoters with a personal telegram channel that has over 140,000 followers. This is a message they posted celebrating “Slave Princess” and what they hoped the film would be able to achieve for QAnon.
QAnon, like many cults, seeks to grow it’s ranks by luring people into the movement by manipulation tactics. “Redpilling guides” were made on the chanboards that Q posted on. Redpilling in QAnon slang means you are awakening people to the truth of the world as Neo was awakened in “The Matrix”. These guides tell their audience that the first thing you need to do in order to successfully convert people to the movement is to find common ground with your target. You start off by suggesting that maybe the moon landing was faked. If they resist that then you might try climate change. You keep bringing up new topics till you finally find something the person agrees with and then you let them lead the conversation. You can help out by suggesting videos on YouTube or articles on the internet that claim to provide evidence for their views.
Once you’ve established common ground it’s time to bring up actual evidence to support your case. If you’ve got somebody who distrusts the government it’s time to bring up MK Ultra, Project Northwoods, Operation Mockingbird, and anything else that paints the government in an unflattering light. Having common ground and some facts on your side makes it easier to get people to believe the totally absurd stuff QAnon thinks is real, like children being harvested for their blood and Donald Trump’s enemies attempting to shoot down Air Force One with a missile fired from a submarine.
“Slave Princess” follows this redpilling guide framework perfectly. It opens by establishing common ground between itself and the #FreeBritney movement. If you watched the first half hour of this film you wouldn’t even notice Liz Crokin had a agenda beyond that of being someone who was totally supportive of Britney and wanting the best for her. After establishing this common ground Crokin then provides facts to support her claims against Lou Taylor and evidence of a pattern of behavior that could seem to indicate that Britney wasn’t the only star who was in danger of being placed in an involuntary conservatorship. We not only have common ground and evidence to support our claims, we also have a common enemy to focus our hatred on.
Here is where “Slave Princess” shifts from the #FreeBritney narrative and moves to promoting the QAnon agenda. Suddenly we’re moves away from Lou Taylor and the Spears family, AKA the actual villains of the #FreeBritney movement, and we’re diverted to “Hollywood” and “Democrats” as the bad guys of the story. Convicted felon Harvey Weinstein is given a massive amount of screen time as we’re shown that Hollywood celebrated the notorious sexual predator and tolerated his crimes. No mention is ever made of the #MeToo movement that exposed his crimes and led to his downfall. We’re supposed to see Hollywood only as a force of evil so anything redeeming must be ignored. Convicted rapist Roman Polanski’s 2003 Oscar win for “Best Director” is used as a weapon against Hollywood without noting that this happened nearly 2 decades ago and that Roman Polanski, much like Harvey Weinstein, has absolutely nothing to do with Britney and her conservatorship.
Crokin then takes aim at the political leaders she hates and tries to implicate them as being part of the plot against Britney. She uses Cindy McCain’s comments about Jeffery Epstein’s crimes being known about as proof of political leaders willing to play ball with powerful criminals. It’s odd that Liz brings this up given the fact that Cindy’s daughter Meghan McCain has been a vocal supporter of the #FreeBritney movement and is even quoted as saying Britney has been “treated like a slave”. As a matter of fact the entertainment industry’s massive outpouring of support for Britney is something Liz Crokin decides to ignore.
Instead Crokin attacks Democrats like Charlie Chris and Kamala Harris for not doing enough to help Britney. Crokin decided to ignore the fact that the #FreeBritney movement had bi-partisan support and that California passed a bill reforming conservatorships that was called the #FreeBritney Bill. In an even more strange turn “Slave Princess” casts Congressman Matt Gaetz, who is currently embroiled in a underaged sex trafficking case as a hero who may be facing those charges only because he’s too outspoken in defense of Britney. This odd choice isn’t that strange once you know who Liz Crokin is and the agenda she’s trying to promote.
Liz Crokin is a promoter of QAnon. Knowing this paints “Slave Princess” in a far more insidious light. The movie is designed to lure people from the #FreeBritney movement into the world of global elites terrorizing children to harvest their fear infused blood. Liz’s recent work includes the film “Out of Shadows” which promotes the ridiculous “Pizzagate” conspiracy theory that hacked emails from Jon Podesta indicate that a pizza shop in Washington DC was a hub of a child trafficking ring. This conspiracy theory led to a man to charge into the pizza shop and open fire in an effort to free the children supposedly trapped in the basement of a building without a basement.
To get an understanding of how dishonest Crokin’s work is I’ll give you this example from “Out of Shadows”. She makes the claim that “pizza” is a code word for child trafficking without any evidence to support it. The actual term is “cheese pizza” which was code on the chanboards for “child porn” because it had the same initials. The Podesta emails that are the basis for the Pizzagate conspiracy theory never mention cheese pizza, but they do mention pizza a bunch, so Crokin pretends that “pizza” is the code word and hopes that her audience won’t fact check it. If you want really want to see just how misleading Liz is you can check out my nearly 200 tweet fact check of “Out of Shadows” here.
“Slave Princess” follows one final bit of the “Redpilling guide” notes that I didn’t bring up until now. One of the main things cults do while recruiting people into their movements is to avoid telling people what they actually believe until the recruit is fully committed to the cause. White nationalist groups will often claim their racism is merely jokes until the new member is now showing the racist tendencies they want to see and then they’ll admit they were not kidding about their hatred. Much as Scientology wouldn’t tell it’s members about Xenu until they have reached the highest ranks of the religion QAnon doesn’t want to tell you about Adrenochrome or Project Looking Glass or the fact that a bunch of thumbs up in a photo of Donald Trump was a signal to QAnon that Trump loves them very much.
This is called “Hiding your power level” and Liz is very good at it. In “Out of Shadows” QAnon is never mentioned and in “Slave Princess” QAnon and Pizzagate are never mentioned. The goal of the film is to pull people towards looking into Hollywood’s corrupt underbelly and questions about Democrats. These searches are very likely to lead somebody down the QAnon rabbit hole. QAnon has ruined lives and was at the forefront of the 1/6 attack on the Capitol. “Slave Princess” is a Trojan Horse that pretends to be a documentary supporting #FreeBritney, but in reality is merely just another person cynically using Britney’s plight to try to further their own agenda.
While interesting, your analysis misses a few key ingredients of cult indoctrination. First, the message must fall on to fertile soil: the reader is vulnerable, seeking community, has emotional or economic insecurity, has suffered a recent loss.
The structure of a red-pilling movie is to evoke feelings and then rapidly change directions to have those feelings associated with something new. It is a mechanism of persuasion and is not limited to QAnon. Chevron did the same thing in this ad: https://christineaxsmith.substack.com/p/chevron-ad
