While interesting, your analysis misses a few key ingredients of cult indoctrination. First, the message must fall on to fertile soil: the reader is vulnerable, seeking community, has emotional or economic insecurity, has suffered a recent loss.

The structure of a red-pilling movie is to evoke feelings and then rapidly change directions to have those feelings associated with something new. It is a mechanism of persuasion and is not limited to QAnon. Chevron did the same thing in this ad: https://christineaxsmith.substack.com/p/chevron-ad
